I know everyone hates rules, but they are needed to keep order and for guidance. All the rules must be obeyed, or else you answer to the Webmistresses- ~Water~ and Kai. The rules are as follows:
1) To join, you must first post your stats at the joining board. You do not have to wait to be accepted to start playing. If I have a problem with your character(s) I will tell you so.
2) You do not have to play a dragon, but in order to claim one of the dragon-claimable lands, you must have a dragon. Then you may invite other dragons and creatures into your home.
3) Humans, Elves, Dwarves etc are allowed to join as long as the Medieval/Fantasy/Animal theme is kept. So Sorceresses, Wizards, Mages, Clerics, Dragon Riders, Healers, wolves, horses, etc, are all invited. Magic is allowed as well.
4) Telgar and Isthmar are our two Kingdoms, Telgar being our 'Light' city, and Isthmar, our 'Dark'. Telgar is the one land where dragon bonding takes place.
5) There is no limit to the number of characters you can play, but dont get to carried away and enter more than you can keep active.
6) Age: Dragons live to be about 5,000 years old, give or take, so decide on your age acurately. 1 Week= 100 years aprox.
7) Young dragons are considered 500 years old and under, and can be adopted by willing adults.
8) If you would like to claim a territory, you must find one that has been inactive for 2 weeks. Then simply post a message with your name and that you are claiming the terra. Also, only adults can claim a territory, (male or female) 1000 years old and older.
9) The Mystic Woodlands, Telgar, and Isthmar are un-claimable terras, that cannot be challenged for.
10) Leaders over territories can decide if they wish to have others share their position. For example you can have the Alpha and then the Beta leaders.
11) Other mythical animals can reside in the Mystic Woodlands if they wish, where no dragons will be allowed. They may live in a dragon's territory if allowed by the Leader.
12) No God-moding [where someone plays another person's character-determining the outcome of a certain attack, etc.] Power playing is to be kept at a minimun, with nothing to extreme.
13) For a character to be killed, the dying charies player must consent to the death.
14) Magic is allowed to an extent, but do realize that you 'can' get hurt. No one is invincible!
15) Good, Evil, Ghosts, any kind of characters are allowed, so be creative!
16) Telgar, and Isthmar are Kingdoms where a King, Queen, or other ruling party will reside. There are different positions available in each City that you can apply for by seeking out the rulers.
17) Posts must be at least 5 sentences long!
18) Please keep swearing to a minimum.
19) Sexual content is allowed on any of the IC boards, as long as .XX.Mature Content.XX. is posted in every subject line.
20) Activity Checks are common, so please check the OOC board often, otherwise you could be deleted!
21) If you need ideas for your dragon's breed or type, some good sites to visit are:

http://www.michaellc.com/The_Library_3.html
Breeding Rules:
1) Long breeding is allowed as long as you post in the subject line- (.XX.Mature Content.XX.) and Long Breeding.
2) You can breed as much as you want.
3) Please post the stats of the parents, and then ~Water~, Kai, or Fate will post the stats of the offspring.
4) Babies will be born whenever the female decides, and who plays them is up to the parents, or if neither want to play it, you can post in the OOC boards to see if someone else would like to play the baby.
Fighting Rules:
1) This is where you come to fight for mates, territories, ranks, or just for the sake of fighting.
2) If fighting over a territory, you must post a challenge here on this board, saying which land you are challenging for, and who u are challenging. Whoever wins has control over that territory for at least 2 weeks, when it can be fought over again for someone new to claim it. A dice battle or rp battle decide the outcome of the challenge.
3) If fighting over a female, the female does NOT have to go with the winner of the battle.
Dragon Racing
This is the new sport in Sylvanesti. We are breeding a specific type of dragon for this- Graewyp's! They are small dragons of about 12 feet tall at the most, and very slender bodied and agile. And of course, Fast! Here are the rules and information regarding this sport:
1) You cannot join with a Graewyp. To own one, you must Impress one at the time of hatching.
2) Any type of human-like rider is allowed, being human/elf/dwarf/large faerie/ etc.
3) I (Water) choose the main stats for your Graewyp at the time of bonding at the Hatchery.
4) There will always be 1 'Queen' Graewyp, and every 5 years, she will step down and choose a new successor. She will mate every season to a new male who wins her, to ensure the best of bloodlines.
5) Female Graewyp's are naturally more dominant than the males in this particular species.
6) Some Graewyps have wings, but no flying is allowed in the Races, although long or high leaps and glides are allowed.
7) Any breed of dragon is allowed to race, but Westerns for example are much larger and bulky compared to our Graewyps, and might not have a very good chance, but that dosen't mean you cant try!
8) If you want to RP a Graewyp, after the eggs are hatched you can go and see which you like the best, and apply for it at the OOC board. If there is more than 1 person wanting the same egg, I will do a Dice Roll or RP Challenge to decide who wins the egg. Once you recieve a graewyp, you cannot apply for another of the Next clutch, but wait until the second.
9) Graewyps can breed with any other breed of dragon, except their own halflings of the same mother, until a new Queen is chosen.
10) Telgar is the City where all the action takes place. There you will find links to the Stables, Racing Field, and Hatchery.
For riders living in Telgar, they can board their dragons at the stables if they wish.
The hatchery is a large dome like building that is kept at a very warm temperature for the Queen's comfort. Here she will lay her eggs, and at the time of hatching, it will be full of onlookers and people seeking to Impress one of the hatchlings.
The Field is the area of land where all the racing tracks are set up. There will be many different types of races, from shorter ones for the younger learning dragons, to normal races, to obstacle races, and even Death Races. These races are for only the Best and most Advanced racers. This course is defenitly the most difficult, with many obstacles and challenges, and no Rules! So anything goes, resulting in this race usually being very violent and dangerous.
= If you have any questions, post it at the OOC board. Now, go be creative and have some fun!!!
